πΏ When We Move Together, We Remember Together
Dance is a sacred expression of life, joy, and resilience for many Indigenous communities. In this special live edition of Healing Through Dance, we gather as a global community to share in traditional rhythms, freeform movement, and the grounding spirit of ancestral connection.
This community-focused session encourages all participants to move intuitively β guided by music, intention, and shared presence. No experience is needed. All bodies and abilities are welcome.
π± What Youβll Experience:
A live opening ceremony and community welcome
Traditional rhythms and chants shared by ShanenawΓ‘ artists
Guided breath and movement prompts to release tension and invite presence
A longer freeform dance period with layered cultural soundscapes
Group reflection and cultural closing message
π§ Event Format:
10-minute grounding and introduction
15-minute guided movement exploration
30-minute community dance experience (camera optional)
Cultural commentary and reflections from community hosts
Final blessing and collective moment of stillness
This session is part of the Indigenous Foundationβs wellness and arts programming, celebrating the ways movement sustains both body and spirit across generations and geographies.
